“Gina is the best! I met her about a year ago when I went to the salon to get my hair colored, highlighted and cut. Gina listened to what I wanted, which was to have caramel highlights, outgrowth colored and blended, and a medium length bob. The results were amazing, she takes her time and is very attentive to each detail. Gina always asked a lot of questions to be sure she knows what I want; she scores high every time! I am so happy to have such an incredible and talented hair stylist! I feel great every time I see her.”
Color hair service FAQS
-
only as needed. Some guests can go 5 days and some have to wash their hair due to an oily scalp. If your hair itself isn’t dirty, don’t shampoo. Use water and a light conditioner instead. Water is hair’s enemy. Shampoo is equally color treated hair’s enemy.
-
The hair on the ends (furthest from your head) take a lot of abuse from the sun, wind, styling tools, water, and just general brushing. Once split ends start occurring, the hair can look dull and start to tangle easily. Ideal hair should look smooth, shiny, and sleek with minimal effort. Healthy hair will ALWAYS hold color and look the best it can. Dry, damaged and split hair will always result unevenly and look dull or matte.
-
I do not prefer one brand over another, what matters is that the shampoo of your choosing is “SULFATE FREE” Sulfates will strip your hair of needed moisture and disrupt the color molecules within the hair cuticle. Sulfates will start to wear down the outer cuticle layer and create tangles and split ends over time too!
-
YESSS! Having “naked hair” and nothing on it will result in split ends and a very dry, coarse texture to your hair if you use the dryer. That heat is still heat. Always make sure you have some type of oil like Davines’ Oi Oil or their Oi All in One milk spray to protect your hair while adding moisture and shine. Heat and water cause hair color fadage more than you may realize. This is very important to add to your routine.

With prepping the hair using a thermal protectant, keeping the iron on a LOWER than 250 degrees temperature to maintain your color, curl or wave/wand the hair as desired, then allow the hair to COOL before combing or brushing it out. Lightly spray with hairspray to lock in the style and you’re good to go!
